Specifications: Camera-Ready or Vector artwork is required. Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop are the preferred software systems for Star Novelties. If artwork consists of text, all fonts must be converted to paths (outlines) before sending. File extensions for artwork can be .ai, .pdf, .psd or .eps files to ensure the best quality results. For Offset Print or Screen Print items, resolution needs to be 300 dpi (dots per inch) for the best reproduction clarity.

For Camera-Ready or Vector artwork, please specify Pantone (PMS) color numbers used in the image. If white or black are colors utilized in the image, please note this on the artwork.

Star Novelties Designing: No artwork, no problem. At Star Novelties our graphic specialists can create artwork for your custom project. Custom design development may involve an art charge depending on the complexity and will be discussed with the customer at time of reviewing design needs.

Approving: Star Novelties will email the customer final artwork for approval and final sign-off before production begins.

Order Placement

After quote has been accepted by the customer and Star Novelties has reviewed and finalized the art for customer approval, it is time to place the order. We will send our customers an order confirmation to review and send back with written approval to proceed with production. We will confirm artwork, technique, quantity, size and packaging. Pre-production samples are available upon request. Production lead times are dependant on the specific item and quantities requested. Typical production lead times are 3 -5 weeks. Shorter lead times are available for special circumstances.

Minimums / Revisions / Cancellations

Minimum quantities are dependent on the item and upon factory approval; we may be able to produce less than minimums. Less than minimums are reviewed on case by case basis.

Once in production, if a customer revises an order, the customer is responsible for all costs incurred up to the revision and any new costs associated with the revision and completion of the project.

If an order is cancelled during production, the customer is responsible for all costs incurred up to the date of cancellation. Revisions and cancellations must be requested in writing.


We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, cashiers checks, and approved company checks and Purchase Orders. For all production orders a 50% deposit is due at the time order is placed. Balance is due when order is ready to ship to customer.

For sample orders full payment is due at the time of placing a sample order. If samples are approved and a production order is placed, the payment from the sample order will be applied to the production order total.

Past due accounts will be charged 1.5% interest per month. Returned checks will be subject to a $20.00 service fee.


Star Novelties utilizes Federal Express or UPS ground unless otherwise specified by the customer. Shipping charges are not included in the original purchase order; they are a separate charge and are added at the time the goods are ready to ship to the customer.
